On July 13 and 14, the Nineteenth State Amateur Golf Championship was held at the St. Sofia Golf Club. The competitors were divided into 5 championship divisions, in which the format was stroke play and 4 stableford divisions.
The state title for men, with a score of 6 strokes under par, was won by Hristo Yanakiev, for women by Victoria Pelovska, in the mid-am category, first place was won by Todor Baychev, for the veterans, for the second year in a row, the winner was Mariyan Abrashev, and for the youth, after a contested playoff, the winner was Kaloyan Sanevski.
